I am an outspoken supporter of the use of biotechnology to address food diversity, food security, and climate change. At present, only a few species make up most of the world’s food supply. Introducing new crops and exploring plants better adapted to their environment and future climate scenarios can significantly promote food security and biodiversity. I strongly believe biotechnology and new breeding techniques are the best approach to address these issues with innovation.
